I decided to move my Mastodon account from Mastodon Social to Linux Rocks (old account: For those on the new server, I am a writer and legal research specialist. I run and edit an online writing magazine called The New Leaf Journal. As for why I chose Linux Rocks - I run Manjaro on my main desktop and EndeavourOS, Bodhi, Trisquel, and Ubuntu Touch on other devices.

The best time to have a custom post type link issue is during the week two CPT posts made HN page 1. (Problem resolved.)

I upgraded to WP 6.0. Couldn't access new post editor using Gutenberg (my special post type with classic editor worked). Went through plugins one by one to find the culprit. The culprit was a setting in one plugin to "Remove the version parameter from styles and scripts" - which I should probably do manually anyway. 30 minutes of my life gone, but I can post, so all's well that ends well.

Let’s welcome Cryptomator’s new sibling to the family: Cryptomator Lite (Android) 🎉

More information coming soon 😎

Here’s your Monday morning cup of coffee. And another for a friend. Ballpoint on A4.

Were I to guess which one of The New Leaf Journal's articles would give us our second HN page 1 appearance... I would not have guessed a micropost about a search engine in our logs. But I welcome the surprise and all of our new visitors.

I like very much the idea of a instance block subscription and sum other special features.
A really lightweight fediverse server alternative with focus on privacy and easy setup.

I'm happy to introduce our new ultra-low tech CMS for smol, accessible websites. The goal was to make something that could be self-hosted, but friendly enough for people who don't SFTP or use a terminal. 3 PHP files, Apache, and Gemtext. Should work on any dumb old Apache host; a technical person could manage many of these for friends and family with zero maintenance. Happy to answer any questions or take bug reports.

If you want to manage your block list and mute list on Mastodon, log in through the website and then press the little V shaped button just above the box where you write toots (see the attached image).

This will cause a menu to appear, which includes managing blocks and mutes.

Having read that we're in the middle of an anime "remake boom," I call for a new version of the classic Kare Kano.
