I seriously hope a lot of websites will block EU visitors now. It'll make more people aware of this issue, and you can always use a VPN for that kind of stuff. I hoppe these upload filters won't affect Mastodon too much.

Unbelievable. Universities that pay nothing their PhD candidates, charge 150k of tuition, give loans with high interests and accept donations are actually susceptible to bribery. What a coincidence.

In the last few months:
- Tumblr purged adult content (and a bunch of stuff it misindentified).
- Flickr purged free storage above a limit of 1000 photos/account.
- Myspace deleted 12 years' worth of music.

And Google+ only has two weeks left before Google pulls its plug.
