Hey Fedi, do you know if there is a federated (perhaps even #ActivityPub-powered) cooking recipe hosting service? If not, let's 👏 make 👏 this 👏 happen!
I hate modern recipe websites. All of them are full with ads and tracking. The leading recipe hosting in my country loads over 30 different trackers, and that's excluding the ads!

Update:
It has been almost 5 months since I started running a Snikket server. I only had to update once and that was very easy. I faced no issues as of now on the server side. The uptime has been 100%.
This is a blog post I have written on my experience https://fsci.in/blog/snikket-experience/
I found @snikket_im project chatroom as very helping and welcoming. They try their best to help newbies in self-hosting, which usually takes a lot of patience.

Interesting part of #smallnet. You can exercise your thoughts on how much is better or worse than #gemini, #gopher:

In praise of how Minds, an alternative FOSS crypto-based social media platform, allows for adding invisible hashtags to posts. (The crypto however...)

How can I improve the https://fediverse.info people directory?
I have a few ideas:
- Allow registration via statuses that contain hashtag topics so you don't need to pollute your bio
- User avatars (held off on this as it would require moderation)
- Topic intersection (group results by multiple topics)
- Filter by instance/domain
- Use localStorage to keep track of profiles you seen to show fresher results
Any more? Boosts appreciated! #fediverseInfo #activitypub

Is there someone you follow on here and you enjoy their posts but you don't want to see their boosts?
Do you wish you could hide their boosts but still see their posts?
You can do this on Mastodon:
1. Log in through the website
2. Go to the profile of the person whose boosts you want to mute
3. Click "..."
4. Select "Hide boosts from..."
If you want to see their boosts again, just do the same thing but select "Show boosts from..."
