@OpenComputeDesign @yisraeldov Apparently our immune system isn't as permanent as we were led to believe as kids. That's why boosters are a thing
@yisraeldov @OpenComputeDesign antibodies means you were exposed at one point and your immune system was able to do its job properly. And we should be thankful for that!
Anecdote: I received the measles vaccine as a teen, but by the time I was 30, my antibodies for it were gone.
@SolusSpider To be fair, I have a problem with what the TSA asks, but I put up with it anyway.
covid, (-)
Folks, please be aware that breakthrough infections are a thing with the latest variants.
Some family members have received positive COVID results, even though they were vaccinated.
Normal is not here. Normal is in another castle and the code to get there has been corrupted during replication.
Stay safe out there.
What makes Linux amazing?
I just took a HDD out of my Thinkpad X120e computer and stuffed it into a (new to me) Toshiba laptop.
Everything works. No fussing.
Even Windows has difficulty with this concept.
I'm happy that this was stress-free.
Note: Nothing is perfect. I know folks have written thousands of terabytes of issues with Linux booting on consumer hardware. Please think of the planet and don't share them in my mentions.
Watched the first two episodes of the new Masters of the Universe last night.
While I don't hate it, I dont exactly love it either.
The animation is good, the world building is good (and metal as hell, I might add), but the plot is also boring as hell.
It feels like a show that is targeting the wrong audience. It would make a great YA series, but by targeting Gen X adults, it misses the mark entirely
@OpenComputeDesign nothing inherently wrong with that, just depends on your components.
Consumer microwave ovens do the same thing actually.
@rysiek that said, I don't use any feature within Firefox beyond basic web browsing. I don't use their VPN service, Pocket, account sync, password sync, or anything else. It's a web browser to me, nothing more, nothing less, like the old Netscape Navigator of last century.
@rysiek daily user of Thunderbird on Desktop, and Firefox on both Desktop and Android.
I would rather stop using email altogether if it meant Thunderbird went away. It is, bar none, the very best way to read email.
Hey, #Fediverse, do you use (say, at least once per week) any Mozilla products?
Context: some people are claiming "nobody uses Mozilla's products anymore". I'd like to see if that's actually true.
