So my phone was just sitting idle, doing its thing, when it decided to reboot on its own. Upon reboot, this appeared. not good...

Fortunately another reboot let it boot up. But now I'm worried.

At least I don't keep anything i can't live without on my phone, save for my OTP stuff. Guess its time to change that.

@matt andOTP will let you do an encrypted backup and can restore it into another device with a password. Somewhat of an attack surface but certainly solves the issue of losing them. And i have tested the restore function. It works beautifully.

@matt If it's the right model Android, you can install /e/os. It's a degoogled Android, but still lets you use push services, and install regular Android apps.

@malin I tried to install Lineage on this phone, but the stock Android has some driver that is required for the cell modem to connect to 3g/4g. Without it, its stuck at 2g speeds. So on this phone I'm stuck with vanilla Android.
