Man continues to amaze me.

Moved all 5 hard drives from one machine to another, completely different hardware (even different graphics card). Powered on new machine, told it which drive was the boot drive, and...

It promptly booted without issue and connected to the Internet without issue

@matt I know some people think the exact opposite of this (I guess it's just your perspective of what "work" is), but this is why I like Linux: for me at least, it just works.

@TheFake_VIP I'm OK with minor technical hiccups as long as they are easily fixed without using google-fu to solve


I recently had a Synology NAS broke down on me that had SHR (some Hybrid Raid that they use) enabled. Turn out that it was Software Raid + LVM, so all data that everyone thought was lost - was not! :D
