My approach to software: if it's big and annoys me enough, I'll start using whatever free time I may have to build a less feature-rich, smaller, and likely overall less broadly useful version. But I hate the other thing, so this feels better.


@architect I hate features. Ten apps with five features is fifty things to learn.

No backup feature means I backup with my usual tool. No encryption feature means I use my usual encryption.

All the features in the world need to be replaced with a text interface.

@malin I don't generally dislike features, I just don't like bolting them on and turning into some franken-process that no longer has coherent form or function.

So nice to have an issue tracker where we can toss feature requests and determine if they not only make sense, but make sense to integrate into the current codebase.
