Has anyone used .com? What's your opinion about it?
From what I understand, it seems to be a alternative which you can monetize for the content creation.
Is it worth investing time on it?
I created an account there but I'm unsure whether I should create content there or not.

Again, I want to use this chance to reiterate that don't mix with . The outcome will be disastrous.

With recent developments of conduct on other instances I figured I would reiterate LinuxRocks position. Healthy debates are fine and even encouraged but nastiness will not be tolerated from anyone on either side of the argument. Remember nasty comments not only look bad on you but on this instance.

The great thing about this instance is I really don't even need to post this as everyone here has always been super respectful.

We are here to talk geek and have fun. Let's keep it like that.

I had a little bit difficulty to remember different switches for updating repo list and upgrading packages as I'm a new to pacman, literally one day.
To tackle the issue I created bunch of aliases to "apt update", "apt upgrade", etc.

I switched from 18.04 to . I don't know but after upgrading my Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04, it was too slow/sluggish especially in Gnome, even though I was using i3 in Ubuntu.
Last night installed Manjaro i3 in VM and was amazed how things work awesome out of the box. So today replaced my Ubuntu with Manajaro. I also don't need to go through the hassle of ricing my i3 too much as I did with Ubuntu. Most of things are up to my expectations only a few tweaks here and there needed.

Literally and shamelessly added -begging AKA page to my blog 😅 😅
Not only I accept conventional channels for donation but also unconventional channels added such as and .
If you don't know what's Yenten, it's an altcoin which I am very interested in.
E-begging page FYI: blog.madadipouya.com/donate/
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Just wish that had a feature to give users the ability to customize their own federated timeline.

To be honest Linuxrocks.online is the best instance for me because I see only what I really interested in which is and technology stuff. Hopefully, it continues this way.

Holy shit I can just follow @blender which isn't even a Mastodon instance but a Peertube instance and it just WORKS. ActivityPub is AWESOME

In my entire microblogging life whether on , , or , I've never ever blocked someone.
Today I did 'muted' someone, not even blocking, for the first time and hopefully for the last time.
I'm a very open-minded and tolerable person but I have the allergy to lies especially on sensitive subjects. I can't accept lies. I care about facts only.

My recommendation to and users is when using `rm -rf` add `-v` switch to see what files are getting deleted. It runs slower but helps you to notice early when you did something stupid.
For instance, two days ago I wanted to delete `.deb` files. I typed: `rm -rvf ~/proj/*. Then got distracted by something else. I went back to terminal and pressed enter. The entire of my source folder was getting deleted, thanks to `-v` I noticed it early and managed to prevent the disaster halfway.

For a very specific thing, I had to check my . Out of the blue I saw an embarrassing trending (13.1K ) hashtag which I'm ashamed of even naming it.
Well down Twitter. I won't be surprised if tomorrow see worse hashtags. Sad for people who are using Twitter actively. They are in such a poisonous platform and surely their mental wellbeing will be affected.
