Hmm... Apparently the GNOME calculator, system monitor, logs, and characters programs are installed as snaps in Ubuntu 18.04.

My favorite thing about appimage is that I can download it once and transfer it to any computer. Saves my data.

@Katsudon I have video and audio!! Gotta put it on the peertube instance. Kind of exciting, but I kind of also don't have time for this haha.

Something amazing just happened with my laptop. It has been infected with stuxnet for x86_64 apparently lol.

Actually I don't know what happened yet. But I have never been so scared to touch computer before. Although I think it's the speaker making the noise and not any moving parts.

Maybe it's a firmware issue... I should post a video. It's wild, loud, and crazy.

Flatpak updates and firmware updates in GNOME Software. Thanks, !

Somehow, I'm able to install Firefox on my work Windows 7 computer without an administrator password.

Omg lol my laptop's screen's backlight gave out while I was giving a presentation. I tried my best to pretend that nothing was wrong, but I may have given something away when I had to put my face 6 inches from the screen.

@dnkl it's just a vanity email address, so i have to use it with my own email service provider, so i guess there's no way to authenticate the two together.

I guess I shouldn't be using the alias for communication anyway, since it is so difficult (impossible?) for mail servers to tell if an email alias is being used honestly.

I guess I can still use it to sign up for things online, so it will be easier if I ever need to migrate to a different email provider.

@kelbot ah that's cool. I was wondering how those touchscreens were under Linux.

My linux.com emails have been getting marked as spam for years by Gmail, and today I got my first actual mailer daemon rejection notice.

I think it's because someone has recently been spoofing my email address and sending spam to the contacts in my old Yahoo! Mail address book. (Down with Yahoo!!)

And seeing as how almost everyone in the US is using Gmail (down with Google! lol), I might have to give up using my cool linux.com alias :(

Omg my barber has a clock that works backwards so he can look at it in the mirror lol.
