Openpilot has an MIT license by the way. More permissive than GPL, but this video shows he’s fearless and just wants automotive driving for the masses (and not just for Tesla owners)
@frank Sounds better than Tesla, though MIT still poses worries.
An MIT licence means the software can develop fast (because open source), but at the last minute manufacturers can make changes, then hide the source code.
@malin I would definitely use GPL, but Geohot really doesn’t believe some manufacturer can make any improvement that he himself can’t do better.
@frank Yea, it's a respectable flex. No need to take off the seatbelt, since he could do the same with the GPL, but I hope he's right.
