Tonight, I messed around with some C++ for the first time in many years. Using CImg to create graphic files. Have plenty ideas for generative wallpapers. Weird getting used to the compile step again 😂

Needs a weeding, but coming along nicely especially the radishes 😋🍅

Finished the Dune film (1984) tonight. Didn't remember their being so many dogs in that film!

A big change for me - a creative world build. Planning a small castle/compound. Good fun.

Good cycle after work today to nearby hamlet - of course I took a photo of the boat 🛥️

PSA:

OSHA regulations still apply when working remotely. Your employer is required to provide a workspace that lets you work as injury free as possible. This includes:

* Desk (adjustable if possible)
* Adjustable office chairs
* Working keyboard, mouse, and computer monitor (laptop display is not sufficient)

My physical office is closing this month. One upside is that I now have a proper office chair. WFH should be much more comfortable 🙂

Starting the week with some relaxing music. May return to audio books for first listen of the day. Linux goals for the week are to get a better grasp of grep, awk and sed. Been on Linux for years and just not got round to them. Have a good one. 🙂

Good weather today so gardening catch-up and a bike ride are in order.

Did the democracy thing for the Scottish Parliament. First paper literally as long as my arm. Multiple folds required to get into ballot box.

Hey, fedi!

I'd like to write a blog/gemlog post about positive experiences from open source contributions. And by that I mean I want to hear your stories, and publish them as CC0 along with my own :)

Bring it on! (Boosts are of course welcome)

First little trip out on this 'new to me' bike. Much steadier solid feel than my previous hybrid. Needs a bell and a new padded saddle but I really like it 🙂

Published a Flash Fiction (super short stories) page to my homepage. Going to aim for at least 2 new ones a month. Bit nervous putting them out there but likely to sit on them forever otherwise :)

Does anyone know where amfora stores bookmarks? Thanks.

Moved my daytime podcasts from my iPad to my Thinkpad. All good though slight disadvantage of having to use external speakers making it a shade less portable.
