That said, can't have all your eggs in one Redmond-based basket. What alternatives do we all like?
I actually respect Microsoft's commitment to open source. This is just... a full commitment?
Does anyone wanna buy a LIbreboote and upgraded ThinkPad X200/X400? Or an x220?
@ChrisWere Just watched your latest; glad to hear you're exploring MX and POP! more. I've been enjoying both a ton, going back and forth over which I like better.
I've mostly settled on MX using GNOME, because I really love the MX Tools (particularly the Live USB Persistence features!).
But I tend to champion the lesser known ones, though, and POP! is an unusual choice for a non-noob non-System76 user. I want everyone who knows me (both of them!) to see that it's great for actual work.
So I've only been INTO into Linux for a few months now, and after some #distrohopping, I've settled on #mxlinux. Others I've really enjoyed are!:
#pop!_os
#bodhilinux
#ubuntumate
Ones I'm going to be trying out a bunch soon:
What all are your favorites?
Just starting out here. Looks like a great way to use a twitter-like social network without the bloat, privacy issues. And, most importantly, niche down into what I want to talk about. Looking forward to meeting y'all!
