What the heck is a gaming router?
And in the name of the image: Do gamers really use wifi instead of cable ethernet? I mean… besides the latency it has way more packet loss.
One could buy two $250 Ethernet-cables and do a link aggregation :D
Sadly that Asus-Thingy does only 2.5 GBit/s not 10G.
@deusfigendi @Homegriffon And thats wifi 6, which most things don't support yet
@deusfigendi @Homegriffon sadly fancy router has no modem, so you will need a modem that likely already has a router built in :/
@deusfigendi You can use any router for that tho...
Heck, buy a MikroTik CRS-326-24G-2S+RM.
24 giabit ports :|
$150 or so, works like a charm.
Also has SFP+ (10gbit) for connecting your server or something.

Only if you want to connect to the internet, maybe that gaming router is cool for LAN-Parties.
Well if erm the pandamic is over and… oooh that's it:
With such a gaming-router you can do your LAN-Party contact free and pandamic compliant 🤦🏻♀️
